Ugh, school has been busy as heck.  I’m tired of being crammed with soo much work in soo little time.  I swear last week I had soo much work due that it was unreal.  Last weekend my life was dedicated to school work.  I wasn’t behind or anything, the professors just love to give you a ton of work so they can slowly pull you away from your social life. Oh well, I survived.  Today I had a big math test.  After I turned it in, I kinda sat there in my chair and smiled for a second.  I looked up and saw the professor glancing at me.  She probably knew I did a good job.  It felt good taking and finishing that test.  I knew I did reaaally well.  There was like only one that kindda stumped me.

Every time I go up the the school, I always think about that crazy fun class I had with Chet and Chelle back in ‘07.  Those days were a lot of fun.  I pass by that class almost every day.  Brings back good memories.

I’m looking forward to soo much this year.  First, this sunday marks one year for Chet and I being engaged! I’m kinddaa looking forward to that.  Also, we move out in less than two months, yay! Chet and I are also getting married on the 24th of October this year.  So yeah, this year is awesome.. and its moving along really well. I’m enjoying class, even though the professors love to cram you with work, Im just glad to be in school and be busy.  Lots of great things to come, hehe.

This week is going to be interesting.  Monday night I have class at 6:30 pm and I don’t get out till around 9:30 pm.  I need to go up to the campus and get my books before class on Monday. Its going to be really cool.  I did come down with a little head cold.. I know I got it from going through massive temperature changes, hot to cold. My sinus’s burn and my face just hurts with pressure. Its been going around.  At least it isn’t that bad.  I just feel a little tired and my sinus’s hurt.

I like my classes, they seem pretty easy and simple.  I’m looking forward to the math class. I like math and I know I have a great professor, and its a long class, so I will be able to stay focused and alert.  Its gonna be good.  Then next semester (summer), I will be attending HCC.  I’m really looking forward to that because I will be getting into my graphics classes. I haven’t had a graphics class since VCC (2006-2007) and they were a lot of fun!

I look back on my talent and I think I do very well with being self taught in photoshop/illustrator.  I feel like I really don’t need to take college level graphics classes, but then again, it will be helpful at enhancing my skills.  There is soo much content online that teaches you techniques and etc that you can learn anything and become skilled quickly.

I finally, finally finished my online portfolio. http://www.melyzdesign.com Its very simple, but I like it.  It took me a few days to complete. I was reading an online article about how to design a great portfolio.  If its simple and clean, then thats the way to go.  So simple and clean it goes.

I submitted my application for logo tournament tonight.  I hope I get in.  They wanted you to have some logo examples and an online portfolio.  I don’t really have any logo designs besides one of my own (for my websites).  So my chances might be very slim in getting in. I will stay positive and hope for the best.  If I do get in, then awesome, I can make logos and earn anywhere between 100-1000 dollars per logo in doing so.  I can work hard at making logos, running GeekFleece and going to school. That would be the life to live.

I got back into blogging again.  Maybe its because I am a very thoughtful person.  I like writing/typing my thoughts out and it helps me clear my cluttered mind.  I also write in a more personal journal on my imac that I like keeping to myself. I like connecting with myself and my thoughts.

This week is going to be busy and I’m really looking forward to being busy.
